Upon arrival you’ll discover a homepage with everything you need to get started, including a trending section, user favorites, Anime characters, a story challenge section, featured content and more.

While it seems predominantly catered to straight men you can select “explore” and choose to see male content, this will reveal there’s a lot more to enjoy than the homepage might suggest.

Members can choose from thousands of existing characters in the system or create their own from scratch. Once you have a preferred idol you can engage in sexy erotic encounters with your character.

One of the first things you might notice is that there are several characters based on real people. Users have the ability to upload an image and create their character based on that person.

The layout of the site is quite simple. The process to create your own AI character is straightforward and you can get started with a free account right away.

While the homepage is very female-heavy, it isn’t hard to find all the male characters and you can stick to that side of the site quite easily.

The images are as you might expect for an AI site. You will often find errors and mutations in images you generate but the success rate is quite high when compared to how AI image generation used to be just a year or two ago.

Gay AI Fantasies

GetIdol offers a chat feature for you to engage with your character of choice, but this is again with a narrative environment and not merely like a natural text conversation.

You’ll find quite a lot of exposition woven into the chat experience, making it more like a novel being written in realtime by you and your character.

There are numerous adventures to explore with your character, many created by other users. It’s a lot of fun to explore these and see where things lead. You can also save your “chat” experiences as memories to read through again at a later date.

One problem I did discover is that the chat is often interrupted by a pic, and in this case my male character delivered a female image.

Verdict

If you’re looking for gay AI entertainment then GetIdol might put you off when you first arrive. My first impression was that it was almost entirely marketed to straight men. It took a little exploring to realize that you can pick between men or women for your interactions, but once I got the hang of that I discovered there were a lot more male characters to engage with.

When attempting to create a character for the first time the process starts out simple, with image upload to get the process going (a shockingly authentic character was produced from the photo I uploaded), but when reaching the scenario section I discovered it’s a little more complicated. It takes some work to start your scenario, but you have the freedom to invent the first interaction and set the tone.

The chat experience started out well, but then my very male character delivered a photo of themselves as a woman, which completely defeated the purpose of the fantasy. I’m not sure if this was a mistake I made along the way, but attempting to edit my Idol didn’t reveal any issues or resolve the problem.

I also couldn’t find any option to generate images of an idol. It seems these are generated automatically during the chat/fantasy process and the user has no control over it.

While GetIdol is a great place for generating fantasy content in the form of text, it’s very limited in scope when compared to other sites offering image generation tools and a more authentic chat experience. The characters don’t have their own profiles that I could find, so it’s entirely driven by selecting the scenarios you want to engage in, and those might differ from the character you want to play with.

In short, I was very impressed with the first image the uploaded photo created for my AI character, and I was impressed by the seamlessness of the fantasy interaction, right up until my character became a woman.

I would say it’s a good site to explore if you enjoy text fantasies and want to create your own character, but you might be disappointed by the limitations.
